Day 1: Small town and Kigali tour, transfer to Congo

Our guide will pick you up at the airport or your hotel in Kigali. After the briefing, he will take you on a tour of the city of Kigali. Kigali is a small but very elegant city with a lot of quick exploration. Visit the Gisocci massacre memorial site first and learn a lot about the 1994 massacre and how it helped change the country.

Day 2 of 4 Days Mount Nyiragongo Trekking Tour: Gorilla Trekking in Congo-Night relaxation Visit to the Senkokuwe Center

Get up early for breakfast and lunch as you wait for the team to pick you up from Virunga National Park. You will be taken to the park office for an explanation. Day 3 of 4 Days Mount Nyiragongo Trekking Tour: Excursion to Mount Nyiragongo – Observe the lava lake and stay overnight in the hut

You will get up early for breakfast at the hotel and wait for a Virunga team to pick you up at the hotel. They will lead you to Kibatoshi village, the starting point for excursions to Nyiragongo volcano. An excursion to Mount Nyiragongo lasts 4-6 hours and depends on the general health of the group. No one will be left behind until the last leg of the journey is reached.

When you reach the top of the mountain, you have great views of Goma, Virunga National Park, Uganda’s Ruwenzori Mountains, other Virunga Volcanoes, Lake Kivu, Rwanda / Uganda National Park, and Kaujivilla National Park.
